Purvis Pristine Model Boats

Welcome! If you like model ships and attention to detail here is the site for you.  Stuart Purvis has dedicated his life to ship making. It all started when he was seven and his dad bought him a rowboat. He built his first boat at age 10. It was a 14-foot New England sailing dory from a design that he saw in a magazine. At one point when he was 15 he built an 18-foot boat in his basement only to discover it was too big to flip over so he jacked up the front of his parents’ house while they were out of town. He found it the logical thing to do. Mr. Purvis has been a boat builder all of his life. He spent some time in Hong Kong, India, the Philippines, and in Manila. A yacht that he built, Brass Buzzard won the King’s Cup Race in Thailand three years in a row. After falling from scaffolding in Manila and fracturing his hip his family made him come home. Now he resides in “Captain Nemo’s Den” here in Santa Rosa, California. All of his boats are built from scratch and are expert quality. If you find yourself interested in any of his work please email me at AmandaSchroder@empirecollege.com.
